Maxi Artisanal Empanadas is a family business inspired by their Colombian roots. They started in Connecticut seven years ago with an ambitious goal to create the best corn empanadas and shareable plates. After many attempts, feedback from customers, changes to process and understanding how their products are perceived by people from different cultures, they can proudly say that they bring a delicious menu that will wow the Tampa Bay market.
Most of the empanadas in the area, if not all, are flour based. Maxi empanadas are gluten free 100% corn which makes it a great option for more people. The crunch/crispiness their corn based dough provides is unmatchable. The fillings are diverse to satisfy different customers including vegetarians but also meat and cheese lovers.
