Oceana Florida and The Dog Bar at 2300 Central Ave., St. Pete, will host Barks for Sharks, a fundraiser to save sharks, Friday, July 26 from 5 to 10 p.m.
There will be a dog shark costume contest, shark photo booth, shark drink specials, shark art, live DJ music, food provided by Boss Ross BBQ, a viewing of “Jaws,” raffles and prizes, and guest speakers with shark advocacy groups.
More than 73 million sharks end up in the shark fin trade every year with many making it to the U.S. market.
Please remember that The Dog Bar is a private off-leash dog park.

All dogs must be fixed if they are over a year old. The membership fee is $5 per dog to visit the day of the event. And all human patrons must be 21 years or older.
