Whether your furry friend is seeking free treats, a full menu meant just for dogs, or a playground to run around at, Tampa Bay has some of the best bars, restaurants, and breweries to choose from.
Because mans best friend deserves a night out on the town, here are the 6 best yappy hours in Tampa Bay:
Sweet Sage Cafe
Your pup can get the full experience at Sweet Sage Cafe, North Redington Beach’s lovely cafe and boutique. Sweet Sage Cafe is a homey cafe serving American favorites for breakfast and lunch, and they have a really awesome gift shop! Grab a seat at their cute outdoor garden patio and order from the Canine Cuisine menu, which features The Beagle, bagel with cream cheese and salmon, or The Mutt Loaf, a 4 oz. steak ala ground.
The best part? Sweet Sage Cafe is super close to the off-leash dog park at Maderia Beach City Centre to continue your day of fun with your sweet pup.
The Dog Bar
Think dog park meets bar. The Dog Bar is an iconic spot in downtown St. Pete for dog owners. It’s a huge fenced-in outdoor space with swimming pools, ramps, and tunnels for dogs to play!
Humans can have fun here too! They have cornhole, life-size Jenga, and other games for to play. The Dog Bar has a full liquor bar, drink specials, and over 20 craft beers. Usually, there’s a food truck on location too! They require an annual $40 membership, and all dogs must have up-to-date vaccinations and must be fixed.
Green Bench Brewing
On any given sunny day, the lawn area at Green Bench Brewing is waiting you and your furry friends to stop by for a great time. Come for the delicious Postcard Pilsner and Sunshine City IPA, and stay for the relaxing ambiance and local community vibe. Who knows, maybe your pup will meet their new bff at the beer garden!
If you get hungry, we definitely recommend heading next door to Red Mesa Mercado for some delicious tacos. The craft beer flights and ciders are great, and the dog-friendliness is another compelling reason to visit this downtown St. Pete hot spot.
81 Bay Brewing Co.
Nothing’s better than enjoying an iced cold beer with your canine companion by your side. 81Bay Brewing is a fun place to get your drink on with your pup. We love the eclectic artwork all around the brewery and some of it is even for sale! They have great beers, a social taproom, live music, monthly trivia nights, and so much more. The rotating food trucks are always a great addition too!
Motorworks Brewing
Motorworks Brewing is a fabulous brewery with a huge beer garden and fun games! In addition to their food trucks, live music, impressive beer garden, they have an awesome taproom that is full of beers, wine, spirits, and cocktails. The best part? Motorworks Brewing is dog friendly and has plenty of outdoor space for pups to play. It’s a guaranteed good time!
Be sure to check out UNATION for event dates here! Motorworks is also an ideal spot to host a puppy party if you’re celebrating something special.
Two Shephards Taproom
Fairly new to the block, Two Shepherds Taproom in Tampa is an awesome new dog bar and park. Two Shepherds Taproom is a great place to chill out with your dog while enjoying a few refreshing drinks with friends. They are Tampa’s first and only indoor and outdoor dog park and bar! With a great facility and impressive beer selection, Two Shepherds Taproom is a cool spot to bring your pup for a fun-filled day!
